Love ‘Em & Hate ‘Em Style
This game was everything you wouldn’t expect it to be, namely high-scoring and entertaining.
The goals came early and often enough to create a rollercoaster game where the Canucks were blowing out Nashville, and then weren’t, and did again.
It was good enough to secure two points for the good guys and keep the Western Conference wolves at bay for another day.
Love ‘Em
1. Pinizzotto’s debut
Hard to love what Steve Pinizzotto brought to the table on his highly overdue first NHL shift. He nailed Kevin Klein and then took the defender to task when they dropped the gloves.
It’s some highly encouraging stuff from the 28 year old who’s hungry to finally prove he belongs.
2. Henrik’s deke
After seeing the move Henrik put in his penalty shot, it looks like somebody should get a look in the shootout.
The deke was a thing of beauty and it makes you wonder what else Henrik is hiding up his sleeve.
3. The Honey Badger
It really is the year of the honey badger for the Vancouver Canucks, as Jannik Hansen has enjoyed a tenacious breakout year.

Ebbett’s 3-point return to the line-up carries the danger of giving the coaching staff false hope, doesn’t it?
He possesses not only the wheels to quickly get from point A to point B, he also has no regard for any human life in his way.
Hate ‘Em
1. Well, they almost lost
What should have been a comfortable march turned into a nailbiter late when Nashville scored a pair of goals to make it a one goal game.
Thankfully, Henrik responded with his penalty shot or this game could have turned on a dime.
2. Bieksa’s return
The Canucks won, making them undefeated this month when Kevin Bieksa plays, but let’s not go too far in crediting Bieksa for last night’s performance.
The defender had a number of brain cramps, including a critical giveaway that led to Nashville’s first goal and a weird slashing call on Craig Smith that occurred as the Predator forward was falling to the ice.
Still, great to have you back Kevin.
3. The legend of Andrew Ebbett grows
Fear this result, because Alain Vigneault may now believe Andrew Ebbett has magical properties.
The centre’s three-point return to the line-up carries the danger of giving the coaching staff false hope that indeed Ebbett has been the answer to the centre depth woes all along.
Don’t do it AV. Don’t let him into the Aaron Rome-sized hole in your heart.
